Plantation House is a 20+ room Greek-Revival mansion set on four tree-shaded acres across the street from the recreational opportunities of the city park. Magnificent oak woodwork highlights the formal living room and dining room and the circular staircases. One leads to the lower level family room with wood burning stove and TV with VCR and many interesting videos. The second staircase leads to the five second floor bedrooms with original oak woodwork and some original furniture.

The Mirror Room has a mirrored built-in dresser and matching wardrobe. It has a queen bed, a comfy oak rocker and an attached bath with shower and tub with a door to the new "whirlpool room". The Old Master Room has a bay window overlooking the front yard, a clawfoot tub in an alcove in one corner of the room and it's decor is in shades of peach and blue with a queen bed. Mrs. Butler's Room, with much of her original furniture, is decorated in gold and red and has a queen bed. It's private bath with unusually long bath tub is just a few steps down the hall. The Stained Glass Room, with a wall of stained glass windows and king bed, has an attached room with two twin beds closed off by french doors. The anteroom leads to a new private bath with tub/shower. The Old Guest Room has a queen bed framed with lace and it's decor is light and airy. A window alcove leads to the new private bath with pedestal sink and tub/shower. Our new private "Whirlpool Room" has a corner tub for two where you can "swirl" your cares away.

The balance of the second floor features two meeting/party rooms, one with an original fireplace. The Guest Cottage is a complete one bedroom house nestled among the trees in the backyard with a view of the gazebo. It has a charming front porch and a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave. A romantic hideaway or the ideal spot for families with children since there is a twin bed daybed in the livingroom. A full breakfast is served in the formal dining room of the main house at a time of your choosing.
