he Horse & Hound Inn, which started as a nineteenth
century farmhouse about 1830, is now a fine OLD-FASHIONED New England Bed & Breakfast
Inn. The Inn is adjacent to the White Mountains
National Forest and the Franconia
Notch State Park with plentiful outdoor activities for all seasons.
Located on 8.5 private acres, the Horse & Hound Inn was renovated in 1946 from
the 1840 farm house to be an Old-fashioned New England Bed & Breakfast. We invite
you to stay in any of our eight guestrooms, dine in our pine-panelled Hunt dining
room or join us for a relaxing appertif in our Tuckerbrook Lounge.
Nestled at the base of Cannon Mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire,
the Horse and Hound Inn is off the beaten path, yet close to all attractions.
With plentiful activities 
for all, it is sure to be a wonderful place to visit
time and time again.
Summer and Foliage offer hiking, biking, golf, swimming and amazing views; while
winter, in New England, offers downhill and cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing,
sledding and beautiful snow capped peaks. The Horse & Hound Inn is adjacent
to the White Mountain National Forest on the west side of Cannon Mountain Ski
Area and Franconia Notch State Park in scenic New Hampshire. There is also
the free use of 65 kilometers of cross country ski trails connected to the
property.
The Dining room is open Wednesday through Saturday nights from 6-8 pm. serving American comfort foods such as Pot Roast, Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, or Roast Turkey. No entree is priced over $9.95. During Summer and Fall, the covered and screened Patio is open for alfresco dining. The large back lawn is a nice area for sunbathing or just relaxing and provides additional space for receptions or other parties. The pine-panelled lounge offers a full range of cocktails and our only television. The lobby area has charming fireplace and an out of the way corner with a VCR/DVD player for guest use. In Winter, it's just 3 miles to downhill skiing/snow boarding at Cannon Mountain. Cross-country skiing is just outside the door and free to guests of the Inn. Ski rentals are available nearby.

Smoking is permitted in guestrooms, the lounge, and the covered patio (when open). Children under six stay free. Others are charged the $15 additional person fee. All rates include tax and full breakfast - served between 8:30 and 10:00 am. Pets are welcome but are charged a fee of $8.50 per night. Two night minimun stay required during Fall Foliage (mid Sep. to mid Oct. ) Winter Ski packages and meal plan rates available.
