Majestic views! Steps to North Conway Village's restaurants, shopping and all of its activities. Take a scenic drive and view God's tapestry - the White Mountains in autumn - Ski the White's in one of our four major ski areas (Alpine or X-Country) - Play golf at one of our prized courses.
Enjoy
quiet interludes in a two person jacuzzi suite or on the wicker-filled veranda
of this 1880's English Manor home; swing in our hand-knotted hammock and dream
a little dream; view the splendor of the mountains and ledges from one of our
several decks or New England crafted Adirondack chairs; walk to the Saco River
right in the backyard with its pristine waters offering peace and tranqulity.
Breakfast is an event!
Served on English Wedgwood and Irish Lace by candlelight with soft chamber music
playing in the background - we start you off with a fruit course that might
include
a fresh peach cobbler on a homemade puff pastry crust and topped with real whipped
cream or a fresh blueberry buckle (the berries can be picked by the guests from
the Inn's Blueberry bushes) topped with a frozen raspberry yogurt.
Arlene makes her own mamouth muffins early each morning and we are famous for mouth watering confections such as Banana White Chocolate chip or English Toffee Bit Muffins. Each place setting is complimented with a serving of our famous homemade granola - loaded with nuts, dried fruits and fresh shaved coconut (it's great to take in a "people bag" for trail mix says Bill). And then as if that all wasn't enough, an entree is presented to "knock your socks off".
One
example if our signature dish, a delight called Glenboro Shirred Eggs and is
made in a ramekin with layers of breadcrumbs, cheese, fresh tomatoes, eggs,
fresh spinach, fresh slices of mushroom, and christened with light cream and
chives from our herb garden. Its then baked until golden brown and served with
homemade toasted bread. (No calorie counting is allowed). Of course there's
plenty of cold juices and piping hot coffee to top it all off.
Many of our guests skip lunch completely and show up again for their English Teatime at 3pm where there's freshly baked cakes, scones, and goodies - exotic teas, hot coffee, cocoa and cider all for your sampling and enjoyment! And don't forget, for you early risers - there is coffee and tea with cakes in the Study at 6am.
Decidedly small and intentionally memorable. Luxurious accommodations yet affordably opulent.
