Saisons, the French spelling for "the seasons ", acquired
its name in part for its four seasonally decorated bedrooms. This Second
Empire French Victorian, Circa 1840, is located behind large stone columns
and large iron gates, nestled in the middle of a fenced-in, wooded acre
of beautifully landscaped property. Taking a stroll across a bridge
over a large fish pond with waterfall, fountain, and interesting statuary
will only be a small part of the ambiance you can expect to find during
the day, or along the many lighted walkways at night.
You
will delight in sitting on a large front porch, one of several different
patios, or just taking a quiet walk around the property. You will find
the four seasons are featured both inside and outside the property.
A large ice skating pond nearby in Winter, flower gardens blooming everywhere
in Spring, local area activities in summer, and unbelievable fall foliage,
better than anything you can find in New England in Autumn.
Inside, the large
imposing rooms with soaring twelve foot ceilings, guests will find four
marble fireplaces, huge museum quality antique furniture, fine old oil
paintings, including a nine foot Chickering Concert Grand Piano in the
Great Room that complements the many gracious living areas. Breakfast
can be served in your room, the large formal dining room, or with your
hosts in the spacious bright kitchen. Computer and fax access is available
in the Lions' Den, a favorite place to do some business, or lounge around
the fireplace having a little complimentary wine, or watching some TV.
