La Hacienda Grande

t La Hacienda Grande we offer Southwestern casual elegance in a magnificent 250 year old Spanish hacienda built around a central coutryard. Originally it was part of a Spanish land grant of 100 square miles, and later become one of the first stagecoach stops between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Today it has been fully restored while maintaining all the charm of the 2-foot thick adobe walls, wood ceilings, floors of tile, stone or brick. The Inn is approached down a long country lane surrounded by open fields with gorgeous views.

The guest rooms are very well appointed with handmade furnishings and original artwork. All rooms are spacious and all have private baths. Five have private entrances off the central courtyard. Five have fireplaces. (Only the room with two double beds, the Sandia Room, does not.) We offer a full gourmet breakfast, and coffee is served to your room earlier as well. Other meals by arrangement. Afternoon refreshments are available. We offer romance packages with intimate dinners for two by prearrangement.

We are just one mile from I-25 and Highway 44 on the way to Santa Fe from Albuquerque. Nearby activities include golf, historic petroglyphs and pueblos, gaming, outlet malls, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, galleries and fine dining -- all within 5-15 minutes. La Hacienda Grande is centrally located to almost everything worth seeing in Northern New Mexico. We will be happy to help guests plan itineraries in line with their interests.
