art patroness Mabel Dodge Luhan, sits amid towering trees on 1.2 acres
and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped flower beds. Part of the
main house is a 190 year old adobe, and all rooms have viga ceilings
and brick, tile, or hardwood floors. Rooms are furnished with antique
and handcrafted furniture, original art, specially selected bed linens,
hand woven rugs, and down comforters. Eight of the rooms have adobe
corner fireplaces, two have their own in-room Jacuzzi tubs, and one
has its own steamroom. All rooms have a selection of specially selected
books and cassette tapes.
Guests enjoy unobstructed views of Taos Mountain from the deck of the
large outdoor Jacuzzi, the patios and lawns, the dining room, and some
guest rooms. Full gourmet breakfasts are served beside a roaring fire
in the winter, and on the patio in the summer.
