Nestled amidst park-like grounds, the Manor was built circa 1820 as a dowry for the eldest daughter of George Weaver upon her marriage to Adam Bowman. Mr. Weaver was a founding father of Deerfield/Utica, and drummer for General Nicholas Herkimer at the Battle of Oriskany. Let us tell you about the many colorful and interesting people who have resided in our manor...such as George M. Weaver III who fought on the side of the South during the Civil War...or ask us how our home's secret tunnel was used as part of the Underground Railroad. DISTINCTIVE FEATURES
