The feeling of Old World charm is apparent as you are welcomed into a sun-drenched mahogany foyer complete with fireplace, stained glass windows and an opulent mahogany period staircase. French doors open onto a wrap around porch from a cozy sun-drenched parlor that lulls even the most harried traveler into a calm reflective mood. Enjoy quiet conversation, meditation, or a book in the Lynch Library, where magnificent woodwork and an additional fireplace can be found.

You will find our bright, spacious bedrooms decorated with country antiques, quilts, and canopy beds, each with private bath and air conditioning, cable TV and high speed Internet access.

Bountiful breakfasts are served in an expansive formal dining room filled with sunlight. Breakfast is an ever changing menu of hot entrees, fresh ground coffee, fruit juice, seasonal fruit, fresh baked muffins and breads. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am, but coffee is available earlier. Come sit on our porch, where afternoon tea is a relaxing way to wind down from your adventures.

Off street parking is available, and The Country Lion is just a few minutes walk to Cooperstown's museums, shops, restaurants and local attractions, including the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Doubleday Field, The Farmers' Museum, Fenimore Art Museum, and Otsego Lake. Golfing and the Glimmerglass Opera, just a few miles from Cooperstown, are just a part of the many activities the Cooperstown area has to offer.
