n the heart of the Adirondacks,
far from the rush of the city, is the small town of Crown Point, where the air
is fresh and clean, and the land is lush and green. At night, the stars shine
radiantly against the black dome of the sky, and the sound you hear is silence.
Here you will find the Crown Point
Bed and Breakfast, a charming Victorian "painted
lady" dressed in ten shades of beige, pink, burgundy and blue and set on park
like grounds. This grand, sixteen-room "grande dame" of historical detail was
meticulously constructed in 1886 by European craftsmen. As you enter the foyer,
the majestic staircase, with carved oak balustrade, sweeps to a crescent-shaped
rail on the second floor. Throughout the manor, a variety of floral wallpapers,
antique furnishings and collectables and Victorian finery complement the Inn's
beautifully crafted paneling and flooring.
For your enjoyment, in each of our six bed-chambers, we offer a welcoming split
of complementary wine or fruit juice, plush silk robes and fleece slippers,
and a private bath equipped with shower massage and hair-dryer. At day's end,
we offer turn-down service with
imported
hazelnut truffles placed on your pillow.
In the morning awaken to the aroma of premium coffee. Our complementary gourmet
breakfast includes juices, fresh fruits, homemade muffins and breads, and a
especially prepared entree such as oven-puffed pancakes with a variety of syrups(our
signature dish)and a second entree such as an almond torte together with large
supply of imported coffees and teas to accompany this unique meal. After breakfast
you may choose to lounge in front of a crackling fire in one of the Inn's romantic
parlours, to relax on one of three porches, or to stroll our five-and-one half
acres complete with fountains and blooming gardens.
The Inn is walking distance from Lake Champlain's Monitor Bay. Fort Ticonderoga
and Fort Crown Point, as well as Vermont's famed Shelburne Museum, are located
nearby. Throughout the seasons the surrounding country is ideal for all outdoor
sports-including the thrilling rides of the "Great Escape" in summer-or such
indoor sports such as antiquing or browsing through the area's interesting shops.

Bed and Breakfast and allow Hugh and Sandy Johnson to do as they have since
