House is a magnificent, turn-of-the-century Victorian home. It is
named after the quaint hamlet where it is located in the Catskill Mountains.
This sleepy town was home to the legendary Rip Van Winkle. We are within
walking distance of hiking trails, swimming holes, the Rip Van Winkle
Golf Course and the Palenville Interarts Colony. We are also within
minutes of Hunter Mt., Windham, and Cortina ski areas, North Lake State
Park, Woodstock, East Durham summer festivals, horseback riding, the
Catskill Game Farm, and antique shops galore.
Five beautifully-decorated
guestrooms, including two suites -- all with private baths. Our very
romantic suites feature breathtaking mountain views, a sleeping loft,
wood burning stove with open fire, deck, cable TV, VCR and Jacuzzi.
We also have a ten person hot tub. Breakfast includes fruit, fresh baked
muffins, juice, and French toast, pancakes, waffles or omelets.
