The Stirling House is an 1870's-era Victorian home that once served as a boarding house. Recently known to many in Greenport as "the Cook House," so named for the family that occupied the home for most of the 1900's, the house is now your "home away from home" as you relax and enjoy Greenport and our beautiful environs.

A deluxe continental breakfast is served to our guests in the breakfast room each morning. Afternoon tea and lemonade are served and await your return from shopping, wine tastings, and enjoying our coast and town!

The Stirling House offers three distinctive bedrooms to our guests. One bedroom with private bath is available, while the other two bedrooms share the use of an additional bath. Our beautiful victorian parlor is just the place to surround yourself with antiques and enjoy a great book! Television and a VCR are available in the breakfast room.

We are easily accessible by rail, bus and automobile from New York City and Long Island. Ferry service is available from the South Fork of Long Island and from New London, Connecticut.

Non-smoking house, smoking permitted on the front porch. Children over 12 are welcome. Sorry, no pets allowed at this time. Please ask us about ongoing specials we have, as we work with the Greenport merchants to promote tourism. We will be more than happy to arrange your reservations for you (dinner, etc).

New York State sales and Suffolk County occupancy taxes (currently a total of 9.5%) apply to all stays. A discount is given for visits of a week or more throughout the year. Stay seven nights for the price of five nights! Please ask about mid-week discounts.

Reservations must be confirmed with a deposit. A deposit of 50% of the cost of the stay is required for reservations of two nights or more. One-night reservations require a deposit of full payment.
