Bed and Breakfast Inns of North Americauietly convenient to the heart of Ithaca, The William Henry Miller Inn is a house of historical significance built in 1880. As you stroll through the house, you'll notice the artistic stained glass windows and recessed shutters original to the house.

We purchased this home in October, 1998 and are happy to say that we are only the third owners of this spectacular structure designed by Cornell's first architecture student, William Henry Miller. With hardwood floors throughout, you'll notice the variety of woods that grace all three floors. No guest can resist a moment in front of the American chestnut built ins in the dining room and the ingenious drawer design.

Twelve inch thick brick walls help to block out city sounds. Our mattresses will pamper you with a fabulous night's sleep and you'll find it hard to believe you've left home. In fact, guests have told us its even better than home!

Just six blocks from Cornell University, we are within walking distance of many restaurants (including the world famous Moosewood); theaters and museums. Leave your car in our on-site parking and enjoy the Ithaca Commons and all its fun shops and culture.

Four fireplaces grace our home and during the cooler months we love to serve breakfast by the warm glow of the dining room fireplace. We love the way the day begins with our breakfast! Served to you: fresh juice; fresh fruit; a breakfast entree with the day's choice of ham, bacon or sausage; fresh breads from the oven and always, lots of coffee while conversation flows. The Music Room is where you'll find a variety of games and books and the more formal parlor has a ceiling you'll love.

Ken came to Ithaca in the late 60's to attend Cornell and after graduation, made this his home. Lynnette has been here for 22 years and together they can offer "the best place to....". Whether it's one of the Finger Lakes wineries or wonderful parks or whether you're just moving into the area and need to know where to start, we're happy to point you in the right direction. "Ithaca is Gorges" and you'll see that first hand since only two blocks from the Inn is where you'll find one of the most picturesque.

Dessert is served each evening and it's a great way to end your day or just take a breather as you head out to one of the area's theaters.

We hope you'll feel free to call us on our toll free number or to e-mail us. We're happy to answer any questions you might have.
