Built in the 1830's, our Greek Itallanate style home features ornate plaster moldings which surround the twelve-foot ceilings, enhancing the charm of the twin parlors. It is uniquely furnished with an air of yesteryear.You will discover splendid views of the Ohio River from our two spacious guest rooms. View the rolling hills and spectacular sunsets, while anticipating a glimpse of a passing paddle wheeler, comin' round the bend. Enjoy a game of croquet, a relaxing stroll by the flower garden, or select a rocking chair on one of the three porches where you can watch the river and friendly people pass by. In the fall and winter enjoy parlor games such as Skittles, card games or Scrabble by the twin fireplaces. Within walking distance are museums, restaurants and shops, including antiques and crafts. Imagine the grand drama of the past while strolling through Ripley's 55 acre historical district. View the many different types of architecture and the historic homes in the village. Join the fun, during the fourth weekend in August, at the Ohio Tobacco Festival. Experience the old fashion holiday spirit during the River Village Christmas, the second weekend of December. Surrounding areas offer unique towns, festivals, dramas, caves, a winery, herb farms, covered bridges, sternwheel regatta and lots of friendly people.
