Bed and Breakfast Inns of North America

The White Oak Inn

Danville, Ohio

The inn offers gracious lodging and fine dining in a 1915 colonial style farmhouse. Oak woodwork and antiques prevail throughout. The main Inn has seven sunny guestrooms, while three more (two with fireplaces)are tucked into the former chicken barn. The cookie jar is always full. The Inn common room features an antique square grand piano and a large fireplace, and comfortable wing-back chairs to cuddle into with a good book. The front porch with gliders and rockers is the perfect spot for watching hummingbirds and butterflies. Our 14 wooded acres are a bird-watchers paradise.

Rocky, the Inn's resident Black Labrador Retriever is always delighted to accompany guests on a walk down the Inn's nature trail.

Meals at the Inn are exquisite. Chef Yvonne Martin was recently featured on the PBS Television show "Country Inn Cooking with Gail Greco".

All rooms have private bathrooms and air conditioning. Guest rooms are available with one full or queen bed, or with twin beds.

Nearby attractions include Ohio's Amish Area, a restored Erie Canal Village, and Dresden, home of Longaberger baskets. Outdoor activities abound, from canoeing, hiking, golfing and fishing, to rollerblading and cycling on the nearby Kokosing Gap Trail.
