he Wright House Bed & Breakfast
was built in the Federal Style of brick in 1815 for the founder of Springboro,
Ohio. It is the oldest home in Springboro and on the National Register
of
Historic Homes and a documented Underground Railroad site with one of
the most authentic slave hiding places in the state of Ohio.
The home has
two guest rooms with private baths furnished in period furniture. Most
of the house is available for guest use including the entry, parlor,
and dining room on the first floor. Gourmet breakfasts are served in
the dining room and high tea
is served daily at 4 pm. Family style dinners are available with prior
reservations.
The
Wright House is one block from old historic Springboro which is on the
National Historic Register of Historic Places. Waynesville, the antique
capital of the Midwest is only minutes away as is historic Lebanon,
Ohio, Paramount's Kings Island amusement park, Caesars Creek Lake state
park, the Little Miami scenic bike trail, the Packard Museum, The Air
Force Museum, and the Wright Brothers Flight Museum.
