Conifer Ridge Farm
Clearville, Pennsylvania
Conifer Ridge Farm is located in beautiful Bedford County. It is
126 acres of woodland, pasture, Christmas trees and growing crops. There
is a one acre pond with a pier for swimming, fishing and boating. A rippling
stream invites crayfish catching and wading. Watch the mist rise over the
mountain in the early morning or see a herd of deer grazing at the foot
of the mountain at dusk. Bird watching and star gazing are favorite pastimes.
The farm is a part of the original 1,000 acre land grant awarded by William
Penn in the 1700's to two British army captains named Robison. It was previously
known as the Robison farm. A cemetery on the hill tells its own family stories.
Birth dates are as early as 1802.
The Main House is a beautiful contemporary passive solar home with
rustic exterior and an interior of exceptional design beauty. Antique brick
interior walls and ancient oak beams combine an open contemporary design
with antique accent pieces and luxury features for comfort. The sunroom
supplies additional interest. (Come sit down with us to a large country
breakfast. Choose your special chair for a quiet reading spot or enjoy a
leisurely walk through the gardens of herbs, perennials and vegetables.
The Barn is a massive 100-year old bank barn that is presently in
use for cattle and crops. One area has been sectioned off and houses The
Barn Christmas Shop. Antique farm implements are part of the decor.
Our own specialties local crafts and Serrv items are featured. (seasonal
