Inn is perched on a crest of our 50 acre farm and is part of an original
land grant from William Penn to the Hemphill family. Sweetwater Farm is a tranquil
haven just 30 minutes southwest of Philadelphia, in the heart of the Historic
Brandywine Valley. Twelve 
distinctive
guest quarters are spread among three buildings. Each room has a view, soft
queen size beds, and private bath.
Our
Manor Home features seven guest rooms; three in the original Quaker Farmhouse
of 1734 and four in the more formal 1815 
Georgian
wing. All of these guestrooms have Queen size, 4-poster canopy beds and private
baths. The Georgian wing rooms boast 12 foot ceilings and fireplaces. The Common
Room areas feature a beautifully appointed Sitting Parlor, a handsome Billiard
Room, a grand Dining Room and Den/TV Room. Sweetwater Farm also offers five
private Cottages. Three of these Cottages are equipped with full kitchens, washers
and dryers and fireplaces. All have private baths.
Nearby, you'll discover the world-famous Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum, Brandywine River Museum, Chadds Ford Winery, The Franklin Mint and many more great places to dine, sightsee and shop.
