Bed and Breakfast Inns of North Americahe Palmer Home Bed & Breakfast was built in 1848 by John Ravenel, whose son designed the "Little David", the first semi-submersible vessel and the forerunner to Palmer Home Bed and Breakfastthe submarine.

Thanks to its excellent constructions and thirty-six inch walls, the Palmer Home has withstood hurricanes, tornadoes and even the first major earthquake in the history of the United Palmer Home Bed and BreakfastStates in 1896.

This private home is now operated as a bed and breakfast by third generation owners, Francess and David Hogan. The house is furnished and decorated with antiques dating back two hundred years.

All of the guest rooms are located on the third floor and offer spectacular views of the Charleston Harbour and historic Fort Sumter. Getting luggage and souvenirs up to your rooms is no problem - the home is equipped with an elevator for everyone's convenience!

Included in your night stay is breakfast consisting of: Bagels, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, jams, jellies, cream cheese, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks. These are Palmer Home Bed and Breakfastall provided for you in your room breakfast bar refrigerator. You may eat in your room or on the piazza overlooking the Charleston Harbour.
