Bed and Breakfast Inns of North America

udy Barnett, the owner of Garden Manor Bed & Breakfast Inn of Grapevine, greets all guests with Texas hospitality. Formerly the Allen's Liberty House, this elegant home welcomes business and leisure travelers to the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area with a unique and delightful experience. Although the inn is only 7 miles from the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport, guests escape to one of the oldest towns in North Texas to this Southern Georgian home located in the historic district.

Garden Manor provides several private areas so any local family or friends can visit during your stay: a parlor, formal dining room, and 3 porches & verandas with patio tables and seating. With its manicured lawns and spacious living areas, the bed & breakfast inn hosts outdoor events, particularly weddings and anniversaries. Landscaping is designed for these functions, including a Garden Room that open to the back and side lawns.

The 4 guestrooms, all located upstairs, are designed with your comfort in mind: queen-size bed, central AC and heat, ceiling fan, direct dial telephone for Internet access, free local phone calls, and satellite TV with premium movie channels. Each guestroom has a private bath with European heated towel racks, garden scented bath products, and 2 spa robes. Walk-in closets have a mini-frig stocked complimentary with your favorite beverages, and nightly turndown service includes a box of fresh chocolate truffles from Schakolad Chocolate Factory. Room rates range from $110 - $150.

The outdoor historic gardens are introduced throughout the décor of the Inn and each guestroom is designed in a garden theme: Country French, English Rose, Colonial West Indies, and Classic Cottage Gardens. The four bedrooms, each with a private bath with tub/shower combination, open to a hall and a sweeping veranda that overlooks the tranquil grounds.

English Rose Suite: A step stool is needed to climb into this suite's beautiful traditional four-poster bed! The room is decorated in shades of gold, sage, and burgundy with window views of the side garden. The sitting area includes two wing-back reclining chairs and an armoire with television. The large bath has a chandelier, an old-fashioned claw-footed tub and an antique dresser and sink.

Colonial West Indies Room: Escape to this cool, relaxing retreat with a sleigh bed in cherry wood with tapestry linens! The picture window is covered with a designer bamboo roman shade and wood shutter doors. An antique vanity table provides additional charm. The bath has a Jacuzzi tub and shower with a pedestal sink.

Country French Room: A private balcony makes this room special! In addition the room's windows open to the veranda with a view of College Street. A white-washed four-post bed has designer comforter & linens in shades of sage, taupe, and rose. The bath has an antique claw-footed tub and pedestal sink.

Classic Cottage Room: This sunny room, with windows that open to the veranda, includes a comfy chair and ottoman for relaxation! The wrought-iron bed and handmade quilt in pastel colors are complimented with a white-washed armoire and dresser to provide a warm, romantic ambience. The bath has a Jacuzzi tub and pedestal sink.

Dining services are flexible based on whether you desire a continental or full-course breakfast. An early a.m. beverage service is provided upstairs so you can enjoy your coffee while leisurely preparing for the day. A full-course breakfast awaits you in the dining room with daily menu changes of tasty, freshly prepared entrees from which you can choose. Or you may want a Continental breakfast, an array of homemade treats, served upstairs with veranda or in-room dining.

The inn, located one-half block from Main Street, is just steps away from the historic downtown retail stores, restaurants, theatre, live music, and health spas. Walk to the Tarantula depot and take a steam engine train to the Fort Worth Stockyards or enjoy the many Grapevine wineries who offer tours and wine-tasting.

Additional shopping is within 3 miles of the Inn at The Grapevine Mills Outlet, the largest in Texas, and Southlake Town Square with upscale national stores. For the sports enthusiasts, Grapevine offers outstanding golf courses, charter boating and fishing at Grapevine Lake, horseback riding, bicycle rentals, and even a shooting range at Bass Pro Shop.

Grapevine is conveniently located 20 minutes from both Dallas and Fort Worth. For guests interested in North Texas events, Judy is happy to make suggestions and assist in reservations.
