The Hideaway Country Log Cabins

f you need to get away from it all, you've found the place. The Hideaway Cabins offer complete privacy at a secluded country retreat. Five cozy cabins lie hidden among the oaks, surrounded by 155 acres of peace and quiet, just a short drive from Dallas/Ft. Worth. Each cabin features a private hot tub, along with all the comforts of home: a kitchen with all you need, from the coffeepot to the microwave; cooking and dining utensils, linens, TV/VCR, charcoal grills, and other accessories, yours to enjoy in air-conditioned comfort. Within 30 minutes you can be in a good restaurant or a cozy club. Or shopping for antiques, hiking in a state park, boating on a lake, enjoying an outdoor play or concert, or staring a giraffe in the face.

That's right: a giraffe. Nationally-known Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is nearly next door, and there' s plenty more to do besides. Historic Granbury, charming Glen Rose, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Squaw Creek Reservoir, Lake Granbury, Squaw Valley Golf Course, Texas Amphitheater, and lots more are all just a short drive away. Most people prefer just to stay at The Hideaway, though, and enjoy the countryside. Fish in the ponds, swim and sun at our Cowboy Pool, hike in the woods, stargaze from your hot tub, or just relax with a good book. For the somewhat more active guest, equipment is available for volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes. And for rainy days there are playing cards and board games.

The Hideaway Cabins are ideal for small families or small groups of friends, but they were designed with couples in mind. The intimate, rustic atmosphere is perfect for your special celebration. Spend a honeymoon, birthday, or anniversary with us and receive a special gift. Breakfast is also available. You can choose a continental breakfast with delicious breads and muffins, cold cereals and fresh fruits, or we'll stock the refrigerator with the makings and you cook your own hot breakfast.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Log Cabin is a charming one room, Colorado lodgepole pine hideout surrounded by oak trees. Recently redesigned with couples in mind, it is our most secluded cabin; perfect for intimate occasions. Full carpeting, full sized sofa, and queen bed complement the cozy decor. No bathtub, but you will love the sundeck with enclosed outdoor shower and hot tub. For couples only.

The Lineshack, built of pine and spruce logs, sleeps four and features a bedroom with queen bed and a living area with trundle daybed. Full carpeting and central heat and air appeal to those who prefer a more modern look. Shower only. Outdoor hot tub. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Up to six guests can enjoy The Cedars. The bedroom features a queensize, and the roomy loft has a beautiful view. A fireplace warms the living area, which opens onto your private outdoor deck and hot tub. The bath has both tub and shower.

Holly House is a cottage designed especially for romantic interludes. For couples only, perfect for honeymoon or anniversary. It's one large room with king bed, a cozy fireplace, and spectacular view. Intimate decor features a bath with large corner shower and patio with hot tub. Smoking is not permitted at the Holly House. No pets.

The Bunkhouse sleeps up to four adults and two children in its two bedrooms - one with queen bed and one with double bed and bunk beds. One and a half baths, a large screened kitchen/living area, and a gas log fireplace add to the comfort. Enclosed outdoor shower and large spa. No pets.
