Whether you sit in the swing that hangs from a large ash tree in the front lawn, play the grand piano in the living room, or just enjoy reading a new book, you will feel relaxed and at home here. Judge R.E.B. Baylor was the founder of Baylor University which was chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1845. The Judge Baylor House is located adjacent to the campus and is a three-minute drive to downtown Waco and the Waco Convention Center.
The world's largest collection of materials relating to Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning is housed in the Armstrong-Browning library, also located on Speight Avenue just one block away. The library has 56 stainedglass windows depicting the poems of the Brownings. With only five rooms the owners and innkeepers are able to provide quality personal time to their guests. Since their living quarters are also located on the grounds of the Judge Baylor House, they are available whenever needed. The four bedrooms are named for their children, Alan, Aaron, Anne, and Amy. Identifying each room beside the door is a framed chalk profile of each of the children. DISTINCTIVE FEATURES
