Mansion on Main offers fine Bed & Breakfast accommodations...Whether on a business trip or on your honeymoon, we provide you with the amount of privacy you desire. We are conveniently located in the downtown historic area, near State Line Avenue and Wadley Hospital. Fourteen spectacular 2-story columns salvaged from the Saint Louis World's Fair accent the exterior. Our home was built by a founding family of Texarkana and has been awarded a Texas Historic Marker. We offer five bedchambers that vary from the intimate Butler's Garret to the many-windowed Penthouse Suite, each with private bath, and all fully furnished with genuine antiques and period appointments. Our fine hardwood floors are covered with antique Persian and oriental carpets and 18th century French tapestries and antique portraits grace the walls. Many of our silver pieces and European porcelains are on display, together with several graceful classical statues, in our parlors. We offer queen and double beds, settees, couches or chaises, desks in each room for the business traveler and lots of space for relaxation. Our breakfasts may include Baked Filled French Toast, Sweet Potato Patties, Peppered Bacon, biscuits, fruit muffins, baked eggs with Havarti cheese, Banana Pancakes and always fresh fruit and juice, with your choice of coffee, tea or other beverages. Early tea or coffee, fruit and juice is available prior to breakfast time. Mansion on Main is in the downtown area of Texarkana, near restaurants, museums, courthouses, the restored Perot Theater and Ace of Clubs House (an historic tour home). for business travelers and leisure guests. We provide a complete Southern
breakfast to suit our guests' schedules and private home hospitality
to soothe your day. Our home was built in 1895, and has recently enjoyed
a complete restoration. At Mansion on Main, the 21st century seems so
far beyond the door as you are surrounded by Victorian and antebellum
antique furnishings, but we also provide you with all the necessary
communications for your business stay. There are telephones with multiple
lines and modem connections in each room and fax service is available.
Each room has cable television; several have VCRs.
