Nutt, established a small mercantile business on our Granbury, Texas site in
1866, erecting the beautiful hand hewn limestone building in 1893. The Nutt
House Historic Hotel has been in use
as a lodging facility 
continuously
since 1919. The historic hotel is right on the Granbury, Texas Town Square with
a great view of the historic courthouse and all of the activities on the Square.
There are only 7 romantic rooms, so it is very important to make your reservation
as far in advance as possible. This is an authentic 19th century hotel with
upscale modern lodging upgrades.
Accommodations at the newly remodeled Nutt House Hotel feature spacious bathrooms
and upscale decor. Antiques and history surround you as you enter the common
area of the upstairs hotel. The structure is 1893 vintage with native stone
outside walls. This historic hotel is romantic and relaxing. You can enjoy shopping
downtown, a carriage ride, attending a live 
musical
and a massage in our Spa Room. The hotel features an epicurean delight called
Grady Spears' Nutt House Restaurant, just awarded 4-1/2 Stars by the Dallas
Morning News, and featuring Grady Spears own unique style of cooking.
Voted as one of the top ten chefs in Texas in 1998, Grady has co-owned restaurants
such as The Reata Restaurants in Alpine, Texas, Ft. Worth, Texas and Beverly
Hills, California. His work has been widely praised in newspapers and magazines
from coast to coast, including the New York Times and Restaurants
and Institutions Magazine, Texas Monthly, P.O.V., and
Martha Stewart Living.
The restaurant features beef and fish entrees with Grady's original and unique
recipes. A full service bar is included in the restaurant. For restaurant reservations
