Locally owned and independently operated, South Beach Inn sits semi-secluded in a quiet residential neighborhood, just 1/2 block from a not-so-crowded Gulf of Mexico beach. And of course, South Padre Island is just 25 miles away from the charm, culture, history - and incredible bargains - of Old Mexico.

We offer very affordable daily, weekly and monthly rates on our clean, ample guestrooms. Each air-conditioned room features two double beds along with a kitchenette with full-size appliances and microwave. Each room sleeps up to four persons comfortably. Rooms are smoke free, but smokers are welcome to do so on the patio just outside of each room and on the swimming pool deck. We are a semi self-service property. Fresh linens are provided for you at any time desired. On an extended stay, your room is refreshed after every third night, if desired.

Dining, shopping, cinema, post office, car wash and city services (including Police/Fire/EMS), as well as beautiful sunsets along the Laguna Madre (Bay), are all located within 1 to 3 blocks of the inn.

South Padre Island offers all kinds of water sports, fishing, dolphin watching, etc. In Brownsville, just 25 miles away, you will find The Gladys Porter Zoo, rated #2 in the country, as well as the international gateway to Mexico. There are an abundance of historic sites throughout the area along with numerous nature and wildlife reserves. The recently opened World Birding Center continues to attract an increasing number of guests from around the world. Just a couple of miles north of the town of South Padre Island lies approximately 30 miles of pristine, completely uninhabited beach - Padre Island National Seashore. Cars are allowed to drive on the sand along the waterfront, but the dunes are protected by law.
