The Pinecrest Inn
offers the best in accommodations for your "Utah Ski Vacation"
this winter. By staying at an Inn, you'll have personal access to someone
who is knowledgeable about the area, can help you plan the best resorts
to ski, has information about ski rentals, knows what sites to see,
and can suggest where to dine....UTAH truly does have THE GREATEST SNOW
ON EARTH
The Pinecrest
Inn is very conveniently located to all of the major ski resorts. You
ll find Park City, Wolf Mountain and Deer Valley to be only 20 minutes
drive and Snowbird, Alta, Solitude & Brighton to be 30 - 40 minutes.
ALTA /
$27 / A timeless classic. Founded in 1938, it was the second ski area
in the country to install a chairlift. Alta has successfully maintained
it is gorgeous, rustic, alpine feel. New for this year, it's fun to visit Alta's rich mining
and skiing history by visiting the new Alta Historical Society exhibit.
BRIGHTON
/ $29 / Brighton is an unpretentious family mountain. One of the first
to invite snow borders to it s slopes. It offers a wide variety of terrain
with snow coverage of 500 inches + a year. The Great Western Lift can
be an exhilarating challenge. Highly recommended.
DEER VALLEY
/ $52 / Deer Valley is the place to be pampered. It has impeccable grooming
that will make you feel like a better skier than you really are. I love
it! And don't forget to take time out for a fabulous lunch at one of the
famous Deer Valley restaurants.
PARK CITY
RESORTS / $49 / 2,000 skiable acres, thirteen chairlifts, high speed
quads, all levels of terrain....Park City has it all. There are also
lots of fun shops in Park City, great restaurants, The old Silver Mine
Tour (you take this mining elevator down 1500 feet to get on a little
train that takes you 1.5 miles to a museum directly under Deer Valley.
Way cool!), and great snowmobile tours through old growth aspen &
pine trees. Been there, done that, loved it!
SNOWBIRD
/ $36-45 / Perhaps you ve heard of The Bird? Nothing like getting on
the tram which takes you from the 8,100 base up to 11,000 feet. Better
know how to get back down!
SOLITUDE
/ $34 / Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude has long been a favorite
of locals. It s pristine, undiscovered by many tourists, and less expensive.
More of a homey atmosphere. Short lift lines will give you your money's
worth.
WOLF MOUNTAIN
/ $32 / Actually the closest of all resorts to Pinecrest, Wolf Mountain
offers a no frills , low-key, ski adventure. One of my favorite places
to ski. Reasonable priced too!
Where else
can you stay and have easy access to SEVEN incredible ski areas?
The Olympic
Ski Committee has chosen UTAH as the sight of the 2002 Winter Olympic
Games We're hoping that Pinecrest will be your choice for your Winter
Ski Vacation to Utah!!
