Five minutes from the Interstate highways, 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Frog Hollow is by itself on a charming country road only two miles from downtown Lexington, very convenient for the shopping and dining offered in the Historic District, to Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute and the Virginia Horse Center. Considered the Southern Gateway of the Shenandoah Valley, Lexington is central to a region that is spectacularly picturesque and rich in history, with abundant attractions and events all year long. We have Natural Bridge, the deep Caverns, hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, museums and wineries. Find out why people still head to this area for great finds in antiques and collectibles. And check out the artwork being produced in our area which continues to put Lexington and the Shenandoah Valley on the art lover's map. Don't miss the extraordinary Lime Kiln Theater for plays and concerts, outdoors in the summer, indoors winter within the historic Troubadour on Main Street.
Located on Greenhouse Road, a part of the original Turnpike into Lexington, it is the scene of the Civil War action called The Assault on Lexington, at the foot of what is known as Hunter Hill, where cannons were placed and fired into Virginia Military Institute on June 11, 1864. Your Hosts David Jimenez and John Loomis invite you to feel at home when you visit Lexington and are well prepared to serve your needs, and they promise to make your stay, whether for business or a special occasion, memorable.
