he Gladstone House Bed and Breakfast provides you with a rare and wonderful opportunity to enjoy an elegant Georgian home and relax in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is the perfect place to leave the twentieth century behind for the quiet splendor of days gone by. Our gracious home invites you to sit back, relax and be pampered by your hosts Pat and Al. In the fall and winter, the living room is a wonderful place to sit in front of the fireplace with a hot cup of tea and a good book. In the spring and summer the Garden Porch is the place to be. The flowers are in full bloom, birds are bathing in the birdbath, and hummingbirds are sipping nectar.

At the Gladstone House you will find gracious Southern Hospitality in a small Eastern Shore town that takes you back in time. Three spacious and comfortable guest rooms all have private baths, cable TV, VCR and central air conditioning. A courtesy phone is available as well as a small walk-in elevator for persons with special needs.

To start your day, you are served fresh brewed coffee or tea at your bedroom door. Then it's down the spiral staircase to breakfast served in the dining room. Fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit begin your delicious four course breakfast. Our motto is "you will not leave our breakfast table hungry".

After breakfast you can tour Virginia's Eastern Shore. There are many antique shops, art and sculptor galleries and seasonal cruises to Tangier Island are available for your enjoyment. Many wonderful restaurants are also located nearby. Or, you can hop on one of our bikes and explore the shore with one of our custom designed bike routes.
