renovated both inside and out. It is elegantly  decorated
with antiques lovingly collected over 25 years. Persian and other Oriental
rugs decorate the hardwood floors, even in the bathrooms. One of the
porches has been transformed into an outdoor room. Complete with antique
wicker and paddle fans, it is an  ideal
spot for relaxation or contemplation. From the over-sized wicker chairs,
guests can enjoy watching the large, colorful goldfish and koi that
inhabit the pond. A tranquil waterfall, a garden train and a walled
courtyard with a gazebo complete the plush look.
A stroll through
the brick path garden and walled courtyard brings you to a gazebo-a
perfect spot for putting up one's feet or even taking a nap. In the
morning, you will awake to a home cooked breakfast. The full silver-service
breakfast is a cuisine of homemade and fresh foods served in the formal
dining room. Dramatic flair best describes the guest rooms which are
named in honor of famous playwrights who bartered their plays for Virginia
Ham at the Barter Theatre.
