uilt in 1826, the Melendy Dairy Farm became a 25 room Country Inn in 1943. The homestead offers comfortable guest rooms and sprawling common areas for families, couples and friends to discover and enjoy. On a knoll overlooking the beautiful West River, The Londonderry Inn is your home away from home when you wish to experience all the pleasures and activites of the beautiful region. We are located just ten minutes from Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountains, and 35 minutes from Okemo, right in the heart of ski country. We have our own sledding hill where our younger guests enjoy saucering with one of our huge serving trays from the kitchen. At the end of a day of winter activities, relax in our living room infront of the huge Belgian block fireplace or play ping pong or pocket billards in one of our game rooms. Or watch movies in our comfortable movie room, with a cup of hot cocoa or apple cider and cookies.

When the snow melts, the Green Mountains supply endless hiking trails, scenic country roads for cycling, kayaking, swimming, fishing, horseback riding and more. Golfers can enjoy the 27 hole championship course at Stratton Mountain or nearby Tater Hill. Summer is lush and green in the beautiful West River Valley with flowers blooming in such abundance that visitors sigh with delight. Bring your camera and comfortable walking shows. Our spring-fed swimming pool welcomes you after a day of sightseeing, and offers a lovely view of Glebe Mountain showed in gold by the afternoon sun. Summer is romantic and magnificent.

Fall foliage is a special time in southern Vermont when the Green mountains turn to crimson, orange and gold. It is as if jewels are floating down from the trees, lit up by the October sun. The days are warm and the nights are crisp, and The Londonderry Inn is the ideal location to enjoy it all. Maple Syrup and pumpkins, hickory smoke cheddar cheese, fine woodcrafts, old barns filled antiques, and exquisite Belgian horses with their flaxen manes and tails are just the beginning of our Fall landscape. Vermont is magical in October, and every visit is memorable.

Here at The Londonderry Inn, we welcome our guests with fresh-baked cookies every afternoon, and during the cooler seasons hot soup and fresh bread in the evening for guests who want to relax by the fire or watch a movie rather than go out to one of the many fine nearby restaurants. Have a glass of wine, listen to music, play the piano, or share stories with other guests by the fire. Mornings great you with our hearty buffet breakfast in our dining room, originally the farm's oversized woodshed.

With lovely handmade soaps and teddy bears, quilts and Maya's romantic paintings, The Londonderry Inn inspires creativity, togetherness, and happiness. We look forward to welcoming you again and again!
