Vermont the
way you've always dreamed it would be! Eight luxurious rooms; all private
baths in 18th century magnificently restored farmhouse. Secluded elegance
- 72 acres with breathtaking views.
Nestled
amidst the Green Mountains of Vermont lies the tiny village of Andover, home
of The Inn at HighView. A spacious, rambling farmhouse, the Inn sits
high on East Hill. From its handsome wide porch and lushly-planted grounds,
you are treated to a dazzling vision of beautiful mountains that fill the
horizon and seem to softly blur into infinity. But High View offers far, far
more than thrilling views. Whatever the season you can enjoy the cornucopia
of activities for which Vermont is famous.
Skiing
is just minutes away! Okemo is a mere 10 to 15 minutes away, or take a
little more time and head for Bromley, Stratton or Killington, in 45 minutes
or less. Moments away, in the picturesque woods behind the Inn, traverse a
network of breathtaking trails. Beyond our own 72 scenic acres, the trails
connect with a series of others for an uninterrupted
distance
of up to 15 kilometers. Later in the day come back to the Inn to relax with
hot cider and a book from our library. Take off the chill in our sauna before
joining other guests to visit by the fire. Or lounge in your attractive room
or suite, snuggled up under our colorful country quilts and goose down comforters.
Conferences
at High View With our fully equipped conference room, HighView is a perfect
location for productive, PRIVATE meetings and conferences. We work out all
the details, handle the interruptions and do our utmost to assure a pleasant,
worry-free meeting. We even offer word processing, reproduction
and other support for your presentation needs. We specialize in accommodating
small, creative, private meetings. Call us when you are next in need of your
own "retreat" for such a meeting.
Dining
at HighView Our country dining room is well-known for excellent, imaginative
cuisine. In addition to traditional full breakfasts, we offer congenial dinners
on weekends, often featuring delicious Italian fare. Our "guests only" dinner
policy means you are assured attentive, personal service in elegant but comfortable
surroundings. Leave the arrangements to us for an evening of memorable dining.
On those
evenings
when you would prefer to dine out, an excellent selection of fine restaurants
is only a short drive away.
Don't
just come in the winter! You would be missing two of Vermont's most beautiful
seasons: fall, with its unmatched, glorious display of brilliant foliage;
and summer, with its luxuriant greenery and riotous flowers. Vermont is a
paradise for antique buffs -- you'll find shops throughout the area chock
full of treasures. Bring your golfclubs. We'll arrange for you to enjoy one
of the nearby golf courses. Cycle along winding country roads through quaint
old towns, past rushing trout streams and cascading waterfalls. Whether you
prefer hiking, tennis,
canoeing,
browsing country stores and auctions, alpine sliding or a peaceful afternoon
snooze in the hammock, you'll find them all here.
In nearby Weston, enjoy the Weston Playhouse, renowned for its professional theater productions, pre-theater dinners and post-theater cabaret. Weston is also famous for the Priory, where services conducted by the "singing" Brothers are open to the public. And when your day's journey is through, come home to HighView...take a refreshing dip in our swimming pool...warm up in the sauna...relax by a blazing fire...or watch the sunset behind the mountains from our wide screened porch or our romantic gazebo.
