Red Shutter Inn

he Red Shutter Inn, a nine-room country inn, is located on a 5 acre hillside at the edge of the village of Wilmington, Vermont. It is set back from the road among many well established maples, pin oaks, and evergreens.

Our inn is a handsome colonial structure dating back to 1894. Tucked behind the inn is a carriage house of the same vintage, recently renovated and welcoming visitors in its three guest rooms or cozy fireplace suite featuring a 2-person whirlpool bath.

Dine by candlelight in our intimate dining room. The stone fireplace provides a warm glow on a wintery night. Alfresco dining on a lovely awning-covered porch is a summertime treat. Exquisitely prepared dinners are served to inn guests and the public. Fine wines and cocktails will enhance your dining experience.

The welcoming warmth of the gas fireplace is a part of the congenial atmosphere you will find as you relax in our living room or pub.
