Dinner at the Shire Inn is a memorable event. From appetizer to coffee and dessert, guests of the inn are treated to six courses. Karen, selected a Country Inn Chef of 1994 by the James Beard Foundation, and Jay share the cooking and serving. In an atmosphere that is casual and friendly, you'll enjoy candlelight dining reserved exclusively for inn guests. You'll select from a choice of three entrees, all of which change daily. Dinner begins at 7:00 and runs leisurely to 9:00 or 9:30.

To round out your evening, you might return to the parlor to read, play backgammon, chat with new found friends, or just retire to the crackling fire in your room to plan the next day using the inn's tourbook.
