We insist you start your day with a nourishing four-course hot breakfast in the formal dining room and join us for a relaxed end-of-day dessert before retiring to your comfortable room. You set your own pace in The Valley; we're delighted to share with you the possibilities and guide you on your way to steam train excursions, botanical adventures, shopping trips, and the great outdoors that only East Lewis County offers. Our guest rooms include: The Contessa -- This is a large room with a double bed, decorated in creamy yellows and gold, accented with sage and deep wine. A very large window reveals a pastoral view of fields, forest, and mountains beyond. This room has a shared bath. The Duchess -- A spacious room with windows that look both East and South, offering a panoramic view of the Big Bottom Valley, mountains and a brilliant night sky, the Duchess is furnished with a four-poster queen-sized bed and Queen Ann style furniture. It also features hardwood floors and window seats on which to relax and read or just day dream. This room has a shared bath. The Count -- This is the most cozy of our rooms, decorated in a cheery mix of sage and rose, and features two twin beds, a dresser, and two chairs. A window facing the East allows you to greet the dawn and watch the sunrise over the mountains and glisten through the trees. This room has hardwood floors and a shared bath. The Earl -- Currently, this is the only guestroom with a bath en suite. Decorated in restful taupe, gray, and white, it features a queen-sized bed and wall-to-wall carpeting. This room has a view to the East and overlooks the creek, plum trees, and, occasionally, the deer when they come down the hill to nibble on the wild strawberries and various grasses.
