White Lace Inn

The White Lace Inn's four historic homes are nestled in a quiet, friendly old neighborhood. These charming Victorian homes are bordered by whimsical white picket fences and surrounded by gardens, artistically creating an atmosphere of relaxation. Adding to the romance is this inn's location in Wisconsin's famous Door County Peninsula, know for it's fine artists and galleries, over 250 miles of shoreline, and five wonderful State Parks.

Innkeepers Bonnie and Dennis participated in and supervised the careful renovation of the houses, adding one at a time over a 16 year period. Today the inn boasts 18 rooms and suites. In the Main House there are four charming rooms each with a luxurious whirlpool tub in the bathroom; one room called "Romantic Retreat" has a queen sized canopy plantation bed, a cozy fireplace and a hidden TV/VCR and stereo system. The most recently restored home is the Hadley House painted a fresh sky blue with white trim and raspberry doors, housing four of the most extravagant suites the owners could dream up. The suites are named for the seasons and imaginatively decorated with bright cheerful colors in clasic florals, toiles and checks. Amenities include a king sized canopy bed, a king or queen sized whirlpool bath, one or two fireplaces, a stereo system with speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, hidden TV/VCR, in-floor heat under polished hardwood floors with oriental carpets on the floors.

The Garden House, which is located across from the main gardens, houses more modestly priced rooms. Each Garden House room has a queen sized bed, an inviting fireplace and a lovely decor that equals the high quality of the suites but on a smaller scale.

Four more lovely rooms in the Washburn House each have a fireplace, a queen sized bed and a queen sized whirlpool in the bathroom.

A delicious, full breakfast is served and might include cherry apple crisp; baked cherry French toast; or spicy pepper cheese egg bake, and apple cranberry muffins. Homemade cookies, popcorn, cider or lemonade are always available. Our innkeepers provide excellent service, warm hospitality and great conversation.
