he Washington House Inn is a large Victorian that was built by S. W. Washington in 1899. The Inn is graced with antique furnishings, carved oak mantles, fireplaces, antique shop and spacious guest rooms, each with central air conditioning, private baths and a private phone number, data ports and some with TV's. The Washington House Inn was recently honored with an eight page article in the February 1997 issue of Victorian Decorating and Lifestyle Magazine. The article "The Best of Everything": 'A West Virginia B&B combines authentic style and real old-fashioned charm', written by Paul Slimak.
